While at Georgia State, he has continued to demonstrate a strong commitment to leadership and civic engagement. JerMarkus served as Executive Vice President of the Student Government Association on the Atlanta campus, representing the interests and voices of approximately 40,000 students.

JerMarkus loves to spend his time engaging with the community and supporting local initiatives like the Kroger Bag-a-Thon and BINGO at Benton House.

It was during these early moments that he realized he wanted to dedicate his life to helping people and strengthening communities.
That calling eventually led him to public service and politics.
